Greetings,

Welcome to Crescent City OLQ Charitable Organization. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 2015 in support of programs and goals of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.’s Omicron Lambda Omega Chapter ("AKAOLQ"). In the last 10 years, we have worked in partnership with AKAOLQ and other community organizations to provide mentoring, scholarships, and community program services to enhance the educational and economic status of citizens of the greater New Orleans area.

Our mission and goals are on display throughout our website via virtual documentation of activities and events that we have sponsored. We are pleased to have provided services in areas such as education, cancer awareness, health, and enhancing economic status.

Our community involvement has included the following successful events:

  • Cancer Awareness Events – Honoring one of our Cancer Survivors who lost the fight and honoring Dr. Tami Singleton for her work in Oncology.

  • Eyeglass donations through the Lion’s Club

  • HBCU Showcase – Including 6 HBCUS and numerous local high schools

  • Partnership with AKAOLQ on our Cancer Survivor Luncheons

  • Collaborated with AKAOLQ on Politics and Pearls events that provide voter education

  • Partnership with Louisiana Cancer Research Center

  • Partnership with Hancock Whitney Bank for our Coretta Scott King Pearl of Justice Scholarship

  • The Pearl Sister Soiree Fundraiser for scholarships

We are primed and ready to continue to make a difference in our community as we enter our 10th year and beyond.

Regards,
